Scott W. Bosch, MHA, FACHE
President & Chief Executive Officer
Scott Bosch took the helm of Harrison Medical Center as president and CEO in November 2004, launching Vision 2010, a bold commitment to make Harrison the best medical center in the region.
With a long history of civic service, Bosch quickly immersed himself in the Kitsap community as a member of the Bremerton Rotary, and is currently serving on the boards of the Bremerton Chamber of Commerce and the Washington State Hospital Association.
Among his 30 years of experience in healthcare administration, he served as president of Banner Health's Colorado region, where he oversaw nine hospitals in four states. Prior to Banner, he spent 13 years with the nonprofit Munson Healthcare System in Michigan.
Bosch earned an undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan and a master's degree in healthcare administration from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Patty Cochrell, RN, MBA
Executive Vice President & Chief Operations Officer
Patty Cochrell is leading the organization in building a culture of evidence-based practice and shared governance in work toward magnet hospital status. Her vision of shared governance is "an environment which promotes professional autonomy and collaborative decision making supported by evidence-based practice."
Prior to becoming executive vice president and chief operations officer, Cochrell was Harrison's chief nursing officer and vice president of operations. She has been employed at Harrison for the last three years, after spending nine years as a senior consultant with a national healthcare consulting firm. In that role, she worked with more than 50 healthcare organizations on nursing care delivery models, interim nursing leadership and productivity enhancements.
Prior to her consulting role, Cochrell spent 18 years at Harrison, beginning as a staff nurse in critical care and rising through the leadership ranks to become director for Medical Surgical Services.

Thomas A. Kruse
Vice President, Strategy & Business Development
Tom Kruse joined Harrison in May 2007. His broad responsibilities include strategic planning, business development, marketing & communications, campus design and construction, decision support, and physician recruitment.
Kruse brings 13 years of senior-level strategy and business development experience in various hospitals and health systems from the Midwest to southern California. He most recently led strategy for The Methodist Hospitals, Inc., a $300-million operation in northwest Indiana, where he developed partnership and acquisitions strategies, actively promoted physician engagement, and guided public relations and marketing as part of the organization's $33-million turnaround plan.
Kruse is the treasurer of Kitsap Economic Development Alliance and serves on the board of trustees of the North Mason Chamber of Commerce. In 2008, Kruse was named to the Kitsap Peninsula Business Journal's 40 Under Forty group of vital young community leaders.

Cynthia M. May, RN, MSN
Vice President & Chief Nursing Officer
Cindy May's area of specialty is cardiac nursing and education. Her career largely has been in Colorado where she held clinical leadership positions in the roles of clinical manager, director of critical care, and senior vice president and chief nursing officer at Memorial Health System.
She is a 2007 graduate of the Advisory Board Fellowship. She also was recognized as a recipient of the Nightingale Award in 1993 by the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.
May earned her bachelor's of science in nursing degree from Loretto Heights College in Denver, Colorado, and completed her master's of science in nursing degree as a clinical nurse specialist at Beth El College of Nursing in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Adar Palis
Vice President & Chief Information Officer
Adar Palis joined Harrison in 2002 as a network engineer. He was named chief information officer in 2005-the organization's youngest executive at age 27.
Palis quickly initiated changes of real significance, such as establishing a more customer-focused IT department; building a state-of-the-art data center; installing a new network infrastructure to include remote campuses digitizing X-rays, and rolling out free wireless Internet access across all Harrison's campuses. Harrison was among the first hospitals in Western Washington to do so. In addition to currently managing six operational divisions, Palis is the driving force behind Harrison's three-year endeavor to implement a $30.5 million electronic medical record.
Palis earned a master's degree in information technology management at Seattle Pacific University, Magna Cum Laude, and a bachelor's degree in business administration and information systems at the University of Washington. He currently holds six Microsoft technical certifications.
In 2005, Palis was named to the Kitsap Peninsula Business Journal's 40 Under Forty group of vital young community leaders.

Andy Stefo, CPA, CMA,
American College of Healthcare Executives fellow
Vice President of Finance, Chief Financial Officer
With more than 20 years of healthcare industry experience, Andy Stefo brings a proven record of strategic, operational, and financial accomplishments to Harrison. These include multiple operational improvement and revenue-cycle initiatives; turnaround consulting; physician practice acquisitions and management; managed care contracting strategy; and development of joint ventures, compliance and internal audits, and long-term capital plans.
Stefo, who has been recognized for his excellence in communication and education, spent 12 years with Chicago's Arthur Anderson & Company in both audit and consulting capacities. He then served as senior vice president of finance and chief financial officer (CFO) of Centegra Health System in Illinois for 10 years. He's also served as CFO of several other Illinois hospitals.
