  • Practice Philosophy: We are born with essential dignity and my goal as a hematologist/oncologist is to preserve that dignity, at times using my medical knowledge and at other times just by being there for my fellow man. I believe that the practice of medicine should be evidence-based while simultaneously incorporating the “art of medicine.” In my mind, the art of medicine means to be an advocate for the patient. I hope to also empower my patients and enable them to play a pivotal role in their medical care and decision making by teaching them at least the basics of their malady. As it has been to this day, I hope to continue to learn from my patients.
