Palliative Nursing Care

Nurses spend more time with patients who are facing the end of life than any other member of the health care team. Yet, studies have shown that many nurses feel inadequately prepared to provide the comprehensive care so important at the end of life. In response to this need, End of Life Nursing Education Consortium (ELNEC) was formed.

The ELNEC project is a national end-of-life educational program administered by City of Hope (COH) and the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN). The curriculum consists of eight modules that each take approximately two (2) hours to present.

This class is primarily designed for registered nurses, however other interdisciplinary audiences and students are invited to participate.
