Harrison SilverdaleServing the community through a lifetime of care
With the addition of The Orthopaedic Center, Kitsap and Olympic peninsula patients can receive an even broader range of care, all close to home. Since the hospital’s opening in August 2000, its growing variety of specialized and emergency services has spanned the full spectrum of life for the youngest to the oldest in the region.

For many, life begins at Harrison Silverdale. Harrison helps welcome about 1,900 babies each year in modern and spacious private suites featuring comforts for the entire family. After delivery, new moms and babies receive help from lactation and other infant care specialists. For children with additional needs, the Pediatrics Care Unit offers a range of specialty services through a partnership with Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital.

Both children and adults receive comprehensive outpatient rehabilitation services at Harrison Silverdale. A team of highly trained occupational therapists, physical therapists, and speech pathologists use advanced techniques and tools to evaluate and treat a variety of injuries and disabilities. The full-service adult rehabilitation facility includes features such as a specialized therapy pool with an adjustable floor depth and integrated treadmill. For many, these unique and highly specialized care options provide convenient access to services that before were only accessible far from home.

The wait-times at Harrison Silverdale’s busy emergency department remain among the shortest in the state. In addition, and often more importantly, Harrison partners with a variety of local healthcare providers to help patients connect with the right follow-up care to help reduce the risk of repeat visits.

Thousands of outpatient surgeries, such as urologic, gynecologic, cataract, biopsy, and Lap Band surgeries, are performed here each year. Harrison physicians with extensive training have access to innovative equipment, such as advanced medical imaging and the daVinci® surgical system. These services, combined with educational programs and classes, help make the region’s residents healthier and better prepared for a lifetime of wellness.
