Harrison Medical Center Leaders Answer Questions on Influenza - 2/4/2014

Video provides advice on preventing infection of this year's flu strains

BREMERTON, WA – With influenza widespread throughout the Kitsap Peninsula, Harrison Medical Center’s medical leaders offer insights into the outbreak and how people can prevent its spread. In a video to the community, Michael Anderson, MD, Senior Vice President of Quality and Chief Medical Officer, talks with Joseph Herman, MD, infectious disease specialist with Harrison HealthPartners Family Medicine, Endocrinology, and Internal Medicine/Infectious Disease, about influenza’s impact in Kitsap County.

Viewers will learn about the strains widespread in our community, including the H1N1 strain related to the death of a Bremerton woman in January. They will also learn about ways to avert infection and keep their friends and family safe as well.
