Harrison is again offering the nationally recognized Safe Sitter course, acclaimed for excellence by the American Academy of Pediatrics. The course is designed to teach boys and girls ages 11 to 13 how to handle emergencies when caring for children. Participants will learn what to do when a child stops breathing or chokes; how to call for emergency help; basic childcare skills; and how to entertain children and keep them safe.
Students can choose a one- or two-day option:

• November 4, from 9 to 4:30 pm.
All classes take place at Harrison Silverdale, 1780 Myhre Road. Cost is $50 and includes a Safe Sitter backpack and safety kit.
