Harrison’s pastoral care for everyone

Every person has emotional needs; that includes people with cancer. Maybe you just want someone to listen to your concerns. For many, their faith or spirituality gives comfort during cancer’s challenges. Harrison’s pastoral care is for everyone—our chaplains respect all beliefs.

The pastoral team provides compassionate emotional, religious, and spiritual support to you and your family. That is our commitment. We’re also happy to contact a member of your faith.

Compassionate chaplains at Harrison

Chaplains are an important part of Harrison’s healthcare team for both you and your family. In the hospital, we check on your pastoral needs; we don’t wait for you to call. You’re also welcome to call for all kinds of emotional and spiritual needs—at any time.

Our pastoral director has more than 30 years' experience as a hospital chaplain. The whole team enjoys bringing comfort and support to people with cancer. Known for their friendliness and sympathy, Harrison chaplains know just the right thing to say and at the right time. You’ll find each of them to be:

  • Focused on your needs
  • Excellent listeners
  • Open-minded
  • Happy to spend time with you

The chaplains at Harrison also share their compassion with the community. The pastoral director serves on the stress management team for Kitsap County Department of Emergency Management. Many of our chaplains:

  • Pastor local churches
  • Conduct weddings
  • Conduct funeral and memorial services
  • Speak to local college nursing students
